A New Year

A new year is beginning, also for FCTrelief. We look back with gratitude and forward with confidence. The work of FCTrelief is dynamic. It is progressing. Strategies have been discussed and changes initiated. The service to young people in Zambia and to young and older people with disabilities in Bulgaria continues. This is important.

A New Year

At the end of a year, many people make resolutions for the coming year. This is good and important, because we live in a volatile world. Sometimes, dreams are shattered and goals slip away from us. We need clarity and direction. We need vision and strategy.

Despite challenges and changes, FCTrelief remains true to its vision: ‘A heart for people’ is our inspiring motivation. ‘Future through education’ and ‘helping people help themselves’ guide us in our work. We are looking forward to the new year. The board, the team and the employees are motivated. The people we serve are grateful and full of joy. We look back with gratitude and forward with confidence!

Celebration of Gratitude & Christmas Campaign

We have already reported on our successful Celebration of Gratitude on 5 December 2025 in Tägerwilen. The great atmosphere and positive feedback from the event showed us once again that we can count on our loyal members and friends. We are confident that, by working together as a team of sponsors and workers, we can achieve great things once again. ‘Teamwork makes the dream work.’

The generous donations received during the Christmas Campaign confirmed this. We would like to thank all our members, friends and donors. Although we are a small organisation, we have been able to achieve a great deal thanks to your contributions. The Celebration of Gratitude also made one thing clear: supporting FCTrelief is worth it. We look back on the past with gratitude, but we are aware that challenges, including financial ones, lie ahead. We want to tackle all of this with confidence.

At Year's End

At year's end, two-week workshops took place in Zambia and a Christmas Campaign was active in Bulgaria. Happy young people in Zambia were inspired, enjoyed two special weeks and then had a special meal in closing. New students will seize the opportunity to build a future for themselves. Monica, Moses and Francis will begin their studies. New sponsors would be a great help in this endeavour.

In Bulgaria, orphans and young people with disabilities were delighted to receive gifts. As we do every year, we gave practical gifts to elderly people and those with disabilities. We provided firewood, food and/or hygiene products, i.e. we met their needs. Without this campaign, people often don't know how to cope. We are helping.
